I have been on a turmeric kick lately: Turmeric booster juice, turmeric face masks, turmeric smoothies, and this amazing golden coffee made with turmeric. So, I’ve gotta share this delicious healthy treat with you all.
I find this recipe adds some luxury and an extra health-boost to my morning coffee.  At night, I forego the coffee and simply heat the golden milk mixture up and enjoy for relaxation.

 

What you’ll need for this recipe:

1.5 TBSP turmeric powder
1 TSP black Pepper
1 TBSP Local Organic Honey (or Maple Syrup)
1 Cup of Your Favourite Plant Based Milk (I used soy)
1/4 Cup of Coconut Milk
1 TSP of Coconut Oil
1 TSP Cinnamon
1/2 Cup of Fresh Brewed Coffee

Instructions: 
  1. Combine all ingredients, except the coffee, in a sauce pan over medium heat whisk the mixture as it heats up to help the ingredients combine.
  2. The mixture does not need to boil, it just needs to come to a bubbling simmer.
  3. Once it comes to a simmer it’s ready to drink!  At this point I fill my mug with 1/2 cup of coffee and pour the golden milk in to fill the cup the rest of the way.
